What is
Gourmet Coffee?
For some of us, it's an absolutely
indispensable part of our morning
routine. And afternoon routine. And
evening routine...............
In technical terms, coffee is the seed of
a cherry from a tree that grows from sea
level to approximately 6,000 feet, in a
narrow subtropical belt around the world.
Because the coffee cherries ripen at
different times, they are picked by hand.
It takes roughly 2,000 Arabica cherries
to produce just one ounce of roasted
coffee. That's a lot of cherry picking!

Straights & Blends:
What's a straight? You may have also seen
it called a varietal. These are 100% pure
coffees from a single origin. They are
usually identified by the location where
it was grown. Since the flavor of a
coffee is affected by the growing
conditions, such as weather, they can
vary widely from region to region. An
estate coffee is not only from one
particular region, but was grown entirely
on one farm or plantation. A blend, then
is what you might guess--a combination of
coffees from different regions. A
talented roaster can blend a masterpiece!

Colombian
Supremo* - In the cup, our 100%
Colombian offers a rich mellow flavor,
pleasant acidity and heady aroma. The
flavor is consistently clean and
balanced.
Brazil Santos - A medium
bodies coffee with a pleasant aroma and a
light smooth taste. A Natural Processed
coffee from the Cerrando region of
Brazil.
Sumatra Mandheling -
Heavy, full bodies with a concentrated
spicy, earthy and robust taste with an
herbal aroma. The finest Sumatra to be
found!

Blend* - One of our most popular
blends, providing the deep flavor and

touch of Dark French Roast. A morning eye

Moca Java - The world's
mot celebrated blend combines the spicy
full body of Estate Java and the exotic
flavor of Ethiopian _mocha bean.
Private Blend* - A truly
royal blend of the finest Colombian,
Central American, Indonesian and African
beans, producing a flavorful cup with a
smooth body and deep flavor.
N'Orleans Blend -
Brazil, Chicory and dark roasts blended

Seattle Sunset - A dark
roast coffee in the Seattle tradition,

Crema Blend - Colombian and
Indonesian beans, roasted both American
and Full City, and blended together. This
medium bodies coffee makes a wonderful
espresso!
Vienna Roast - Medium
bodies with a crisp aroma. Lightest of
the dark roasts.
